Position Overview

We are  looking for a nurse with 5 years minimum experience who embraces technology and has a passion for bettering healthcare. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between medical expertise and legal proceedings, providing valuable insights to attorneys and clients involved in healthcare-related litigation. If you are very interested in becoming a legal nurse and would rather work on the legal side than in a hospital, this position could be perfect for you. As a legal nurse Consultant you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records, conducting research, and offering expert opinions on healthcare matters within the legal context.

Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze and summarize medical records to identify relevant information for legal cases.
• Collaborate with legal teams to provide insights into complex medical issues.
• Conduct thorough research on medical literature, regulations, and standards relevant to legal cases.
• Prepare detailed reports and summaries of medical findings for use in legal proceedings.
• Assist attorneys in deposition preparation and trial strategy by providing expert testimony and guidance.
• Identify and evaluate the merit of medical malpractice and personal injury claims.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.
• Certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant (LNCC) is preferred.
• Proven experience in nursing and healthcare, with a strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and standards of care (strong credentials)
• Solid knowledge of legal processes and the ability to apply medical expertise to legal cases.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Honesty, objectivity, flexibility
• Speak from a jury’s point of view giving opinions based on the nursing profession
